My Dad and Mom, Tom and Jackie Lyster, built this house in 1963. Lamont Langworthy was the architect. It is a Mid-Century Modern house made of wood and glass. All of the framing is exposed so you can really see how the house is put together. I was nine years old when this house was built and it influenced my design sense and appreciation of architecture. Six years later I was working as a carpenter and learning to build houses starting at fifteen years old.
